Terminal user surveys are planned at terminals to capture trip information, personal profile, and most importantly the dispersal pattern within the Study Area. The terminal user surveys are conducted at each of the identified locations by engaging the required number of trained enumerators and interviewers. The requirement of enumerators and interviewers is assessed based on a preliminary assessment of the type of surveys planned and the required workforce to execute them on the field.

Airport Terminal Survey

The survey is conducted at the international and domestic airport at arrival and departure terminals, the data is segregated on an hourly basis, to get the pattern of passengers’ flow in the peak and non-peak hours. The trip information is collected by interviewing the arriving and departing passengers.

Bus Terminal Survey

The survey is conducted at the Major Bus Terminals at arrival and departure terminals, the data is segregated on an hourly basis, to get the pattern of passengers’ flow in the peak and non-peak hours. The trip information is collected by interviewing the arriving and departing passengers.

Rail Terminal Survey

The survey is conducted at the Major Railway station, Metro stations, at platforms entrance-exit gates. The data is segregated on an hourly basis, to get the pattern of passengers’ flow in the peak and non-peak hours. The trip information is collected by interviewing the arriving and departing passengers.

RSM collects the data and is streamlined accordingly and the analysis is done on the valid and reasonable data to draw the existing profile of the area. For illustration purpose, data related to terminal user survey, classified traffic volume count on the roads leading to terminal and counting of passengers at entry/ exit of the terminal area are analyzed.
